Using your template
No plugins and no complicated settings. Here is everything, step by step. Each pack also comes with its own readme, with the details of that edit.
Before you start
- Premiere, latest version. Check yours in the About window: Help menu on Windows, app menu on Mac. Since version 26, Adobe calls Premiere Pro simply Adobe Premiere.
- Your clips. Phone, camera or drone, HD or 4K: they all work.
- The pack, downloaded from the link in your email.
1. Unzip and open
Unzip the folder and put it somewhere it won’t move. On Mac, the Shared folder works well: Finder › Go › Go to Folder… › /Users/Shared.
In Premiere Pro, open the project. If the pack gives you an .xml file, import it with File › Import (Cmd or Ctrl + I).
2. Open the right sequence
Double-click the sequence whose name ends with “(to export)”. That is the final edit, the one you export.
Media offline? Click Locate and pick any file in the Placeholders folder: Premiere finds the others.
3. Drop your clips into the numbered slots
Each placeholder clip shows a big number. Hold Alt (Option on Mac) and drag your clip from the Project panel onto a numbered clip in the timeline. It replaces it and keeps its exact duration, so the rhythm stays intact.
Some parts are grouped in nested sequences: double-click them to open them and replace the clips inside.
4K clips: right-click the clip › Set to Frame Size.
4. Frame each shot
Select a clip, then adjust Position and Scale in Effect Controls › Motion. While a title is on screen, keep faces away from the center.
5. The titles
Titles are images in the Titles folder, made with free fonts. To hide one, turn off its track with the eye icon.
6. The music
Each edit is timed to a specific song: the readme gives its title and start point.
A tip for posting: if you add the song right in TikTok or Instagram, it’s licensed there, and it lowers the risk of your video being muted.
7. Export
Select the sequence whose name ends with “(to export)” › File › Export › Media. Choose H.264 and keep the sequence’s size and frame rate: each template has its own (landscape, vertical…), listed on its page and in its readme. Then Export.
